Social Members

Social Members may participate in all events within the Society, including workshops, which are held throughout the year, by leading artists in their field. They are excluded from submitting works for all Exhibitions until they have achieved Exhibiting membership by successfully submitting artworks to the Selection Committee at at one of the intakes which take place twice a year. Dates are published in the Calendar on this site, or in the monthly newsletter.

Social members are able to hold certain positions on the committee.

To apply for membership, please send the application form signed by two members of the Society, together with the membership fee of $60 to the society.

In accordance with the Constitution of the Society, and upon receipt of your form, your application will be processed at the next Committee Meeting. These take place on the last Tuesday of the month.

If you are not acquainted with any members, we would like to invite you to attend a meeting or two with a view to getting to know members who will then be able to propose and second your application.

Student Members

Student Social Membership is also available for students 17 to 30 years of age at an annual fee of $30.  To apply for this membership, please complete the application form and send it to the society. 

Exhibiting Members

Exhibiting Members may participate in all Exhibitions conducted by the Society and are responsible for assisting the Society at all levels during an exhibition, and on some occasions at meetings. They are expected to assist on the committee at some time during their membership. Exhibiting Membership is $70 per year and Student Exhibiting Membership is $35 year.  Social members wishing to be considered for exhibition status are invited to submit five suitably framed works of quality, at our next exhibiting members’ intake.  You can download the application form here.
